One could easily argue your garage door is the most important exterior aspect of your home’s façade. The last thing you want is for your garage door to become an eyesore. When it does, not only does it lower the curb appeal of your home, but it can also decrease the value of the property.

Choosing a New Garage Door

Selecting a new garage door for your home is not a decision you should take lightly. You need to know how the new door will look before you purchase it. Many homeowners make the mistake of thinking the new garage door will look great. Yet, after it is installed, they realize the door does not complement the home’s exterior as well as they thought it would.

So, how can you see how your new garage door will look before you buy it? With the Design a Door app by Richards-Wilcox Garage Doors. Our app makes it easy to decide what style, what colour, and other optional features you will want with your new garage door, like windows.

Step 1: Build your dream garage door.

Start by choosing from one of nine different door models – Classic, Classic Contemporary, Premium, Premium Contemporary, Grandview, Briarcrest, Echo Ridge, Echo Ridge XL, or Canton.

Our Rockwood and Rockwood Contemporary are featured, as well. These models are not yet fully compatible with our Design a Door app. However, you can check out the different door styles, options, and available colours.

Step 2: Select the desired door information.

Select the size, panel style, colour, window options, widow selection, window style, window location, and glass type.

Step 3: See how the garage door looks on your home.

If you want to see how the new garage door will look on your home, select this option. You will be prompted to upload an image of your home. Once uploaded, you will mark off the area of the garage door. Next, the new garage door is added to the image.

Step 4: Try out other doors.

You can repeat the process to try out other models of garage doors or change the options on the model you initially selected.

Step 5: Quickly and easily request a quote.

Once you have decided on the perfect garage door for your home, you can request a quote from your local Richards-Wilcox authorized dealer. They will contact you to review your selections, answer any questions you may have, and provide further assistance in selecting the perfect garage door for your home.
